On 11th of August, I saw the news article which claims that Hyundai/Kia motor group focus to Indian market than Chinese now.

As you know, the sales volume of Hyundai/Kia in China has been decreased. Total production is 441,560 units which is 20.4% rower than last year.
Before THAAD issue, it was over 1,160,000 unit per year. Experts are expecting that production volume will be less than 1,000,000 units this year.

But the situation in India is better now. The factory produces more and more, till second quarter Indian factory has produced about 177,080 units. There are about 20,000 unit difference with Chinese factory(196,767 units).

From 8th August, Kia started production of Seltos model plus they are planning to add new models next year. If you count Hyundai and Kia both car, Indian factory’s production capability is over 1,000,000 units and 40% is being exported.

Meanwhile, Hyundai/Kia’s first factory in China is still closed.
