4th Sep. 2019, Hyundai Kia announced that they developed the vest type wearable robot “VEX” which supports labors who works long time by lifting arms.

VEX is working without electric power and easy to ware like a vest, and it’s only 2.5kg, lighter 42% than existing product.

By combination of joint and spring, you can power more than 5.5kgf. From Jan. 2019, Hyundai/Kia applied this robot in their car factories in US and they got positive feedback.

VEX will be start mass production from December by Hyundai Rotem.
