As I googled “korea auto parts”,  I found many new articles that most of Korea auto parts manufacturers in crisis.
Due to Covid 19, the overseas sales of Hyundai/Kia, GM has been decreased. In matter of course, it affects products of cars and parts too.

The minimum annual production volume for those manufacturers to survive is 4 million unit of cars. Post corona, now the annual production dropped to 3.5 million cars.

Tier 1~3 manufacturers claimed that they are undergoing a liquidity crisis. One of them couldn’t fix the roof damaged by last year typhoon.  Eventually this company fired a lot of employees to decrease the cost.

GM tier 1~3 manufacturers situation is either. No production no works, Salaries unpaid. so some of them decided to work 4 days a week, or give employees unpaid vacations.

Although Korean government launched the supporting program, it seems not effective.
