On 21th May, I saw the news about Imitation Besfits.

 

Korean customs of Daegu city caught the company exporting the fake auto parts under the brand Besfits, which is MOBIS second brand.  The shipment amount is over USD 5 million.

This company packed Chinese break pads and shock absorbers into “NEW BESF1TS KOREA” packages(Similar trademark). From 2019 they have exported those imitations to Libya, Algeria and UEA.

According to the Daegu Customs, the company took advantage of the fact that domestic trademark rights do not reach overseas.

After requesting a Chinese company to manufacture auto parts, it was brought in through the Busan Port, stored in a bonded warehouse, and then exported to the Middle East and exploited the fact that it was marked as Korean on an export report.
