Today I checked news articles which are related with Korea auto parts.

One article attracted my sight. The title was “Porsche and Audi pay attention to Korean middle-small companies, despite numerous of Chinese companies”

It says that INFAC, Dongyang Piston, LS Automotive technologies invested EV/hydrogen car parts, thanks to their higher technologies than Chinese companies, that Porsche and Audi (may) pay attention to Korean companies.

But it’s quite weird for me.

First of all INFAC, Dongyang Piston, LS Automotive are not small-middle companies. They are 1st Tier manufacturer for Hyundai/Kia Motor group. I consider them as Major companies, at least Mid-sized companies.

INFAC invested about 17 mil. USD to their R&D department. And 17 mil. USD is just 3% of their sales turnover. Can you say that INFAC is a small-middle company? I cannot.

And as I know those Major companies have overseas factories, I guess in China too.

I couldn’t find any evidence that Porsche and Audi give attention to them. I seems the writer wanted to show people that Korean parts are better than Chinese.
