Iran received request for supply of auto parts from Russian companies
A Russian automaker, which has been targeted by Western sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine, has requested the supply of auto parts from Iran, Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported on the 3rd (local time).
Hossein Barainian, an executive at the Iran Automobile Parts Manufacturers Association, said in a meeting with local reporters on the same day that a Russian automaker had inquired about the purchase of vehicle parts.
“There was a request for parts related to brake systems, seat belts, airbags, generators, air conditioners, and electric windows (from a Russian company),” Barinian said.
